Joki One X East Yard

In 2025, many of you met us through Sailors Aboard, created proudly in collaboration with Republic Bank Exodus Steel Orchestra. 

2026 marked a new chapter.

For the first time, we stepped forward independently as Joki One x East Yard, producing and leading our own small band, and presentation "Sailors in Denim 2026", spearheaded by Walda George-Waithe of Joki One and Kevon Gareth Foderingham of East Yard Enterprises.

This leap was deeply personal and incredibly meaningful. 

We pride ourselves as purveyors of Sailor Mas but set ourselves apart by offering a reimagined take on the traditional costumes. We do this with fashion-forward, contemporary, sailor-inspired costumes that can be worn as everyday garments after the parade.

In 2026, our presentation "Sailors in Denim" was awarded:

Senior Small Band of the Year
- 5th Place

Uptown Carnival Improvement Committee
- 4th Place - Band of the Year (Small)
