Program Goals and Objectives

The main goal of our East Yard - FOR COMMON GOOD: Youth Arts Enrichment Program 2024 is to provide an holistic platform for youth engagement by implementing an integrated creative social enterprise, social impact and cultural diplomacy program geared to improve participants’ capacity for leadership, self sustainability, social advocacy and ability to build linkages with the wider world.

Currently funded by the JB Fernandes Memorial Trust I, the latest cycle runs from Sep 1st - December 15, 2024  East Yard Enterprises has partnered with Art By Creative Design, Bois Academy and Joki One to offer youth aged 15-21 a precious opportunity to develop their unique identities and build skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

The arts enrichment program focuses on an immersion in creative entrepreneurship at its core and includes social impact programming and cultural diplomacy training, and culminates with a showcase of creatively-driven social impact products/services or prototypes developed by participants under the guidance of our partners.

The three month cycle is engaging a cohort of 30 participants (10 per partner organisation) and through three modules - CULTIVATION, CO-CREATION & CONNECTION will achieve the following objectives:

  1. CULTIVATION: Increase participants’ leadership competencies, knowledge and skills in creative enterprise (Individual Level)

  2. CO-CREATION: Increase global connectivity expertise and social impact proficiencies. (Community Level)

  3. CONNECTION: Increase opportunities for sharing of info, resources, materials and dialogue around the arts and its impact on society. (Societal Level)
