Position Title: Operations and Program Assistant
Reports To: Founder and Principal Consultant
Location: East Yard Enterprises, 27 Prince Street Arima, Trinidad and Tobago
Employment Type: Part-Time (3 Days a Week)

 

 

Position Overview:

East Yard Enterprises seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations and Program Assistant to support the smooth execution of daily operations and program activities. This role involves coordinating logistics, supporting program implementation, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of East Yard Enterprises’ creative social enterprise initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about social impact, creativity, and innovation.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of East Yard Enterprises’ Creative Social Enterprise Studio and Joki One Studio, including bookings, inventory tracking, and visitor interactions.

  • Coordinate logistical needs for exhibits, workshops, events, and programs, ensuring all materials, venues, and schedules are prepared.

  • Support financial tracking by maintaining records of expenses and revenues for operations and programs.

  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

 

Program Support:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of East Yard’s capacity-building programs, workshops, and events.

  • Maintain program documentation, including attendance sheets, feedback forms, and impact reports.

  • Coordinate communication with program participants, including emails, follow-ups, and reminders.

  • Support the Founder in organizing cross-cultural exchanges and international partnerships.

 

Administrative Support:

  • Manage schedules, meetings, and communications for the Founder.

  • Organize and maintain physical and digital files, ensuring easy access to important documents.

  • Provide general administrative support, such as drafting correspondence and preparing reports.

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the studios and yard spaces.

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Associate degree level in Business Administration, Office Administration, Creative Arts (Visual Art/Film/Fashion/Theatre et), or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in program coordination, operations, or administrative support.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with creative and social enterprise environments is a plus.
